Meet the CNIL at the International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC) from June 7th to 9th, 2022
The CNIL will attend the 2022 FIC at Lille Grand Palais, France, for the plenary session on June 7th "Shaping Europe’s Digital Future" and until June 9th at stand A15 to answer questions from the public and professionals.
The GDPR: the best prevention against cyber risks
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the only text to impose a general obligation relating to IT security. Private and public actors must therefore systematically examine data security, and in particular on cybersecurity, at all stages of their processing. In France, they must also notify the CNIL of data breaches that present risks for data subjects and, in certain cases, inform the latter.
One of the CNIL's tasks is to support and advise organisations and public authorities on data security, whether it be in the implementation of effective technical measures or in the investigation of breach notifications. It also has the task of carrying out checks and, if necessary, taking corrective measures, including financial penalties, if the measures implemented to guarantee data security are insufficient.
Cybersecurity issues are increasingly concrete and concern all organisations, regardless of their size or sector of activity. In 2021, the CNIL noted a considerable increase in the number of data breaches notifications, from large companies as well as small and medium-sized businesses. In many cases, these data breaches are due to external malicious acts (hacking) and, in particular, by ransomware (43%).

The International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC in French), the main European event on digital security issues, is an opportunity to meet various actors and experts to discuss the operational and strategic stakes of cybersecurity and the best practices to adopt.
The exhibition is aimed at the entire cybersecurity ecosystem: service and solution providers, consultants, public institutions, schools, universities and customers.
Meet us on June 7, 8 and 9 at the CNIL stand (A15)
The CNIL stand at the FIC will allow professionals to benefit from personalised advice on the compliance tools resulting from the RGPD:
